Founded in 1992, SimPlan AG is the leading service provider for the simulation and virtual commissioning of production and logistics processes. Our portfolio includes independent consulting for selecting the right simulation software, professional implementation of simulation projects, virtual commissioning, and the creation of digital twins. Customers from various industries – including automotive, logistics, retail, and mechanical engineering – rely on our expertise.

SimPlan is intensively involved in research projects for the integration of new technologies such as artificial intelligence or metaverse as well as the application of simulation in new areas such as the use of new environmental technologies or the development of future-oriented, innovative production and logistics processes.

With headquarters in Hanau, branches in Germany, Austria, and China, and a team of 120 employees, SimPlan is globally represented.

Our motivation for participating in the rEUman project is to advance in developing digital twins of factories and value streams for circular remanufacturing processes.

Within the rEUman project, SimPlan acts as an innovation partner, contributing simulation expertise. We will enable our value stream simulation tool to support value stream modelling and simulations for remanufacturing and circular economy processes. And we will also provide dedicated simulation and modelling tools for circular supply (value) chains and dedicated digital twinning support on the level of re-manufacturing hubs or workstations.
